Day-Day Responsibilities:
Provide a warm, caring and nurturing environment where every child feels valued, safe and supported. Support children’s learning and development through play-based activities, storytelling, singing and imaginative play. Engage positively with children, encouraging creativity, confidence and participation in activities. Demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to take part in imaginative activities led by children. Support daily routines, including mealtimes, toileting, transitions and outdoor play. Maintain a safe, clean and organised environment suitable for young children. Effectively supervise groups of children, ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times. Remain calm and focused in busy and sometimes noisy environments. Support children’s social, emotional and language development through positive interaction. Build positive relationships with children, parents and carers. Participate in singing, reading stories and leading group activities to support learning. Accurately monitor and supervise children, including headcounts and room supervision. Support children during creative and messy play activities. Learn and remember key information about children, including routines, preferences and family details. Be willing to work at child-height levels, including sitting on small furniture and joining floor-based activities. Demonstrate patience, understanding and a positive attitude when responding to children’s questions and curiosity. Read stories and support literacy activities with enthusiasm. Encourage children’s curiosity about the natural world, including outdoor learning and exploration.Training:

Training Outcome:
There is the possibility of being offered a full-time role after successful completion of the apprenticeship.
