Equine Groom Intermediate Apprenticeship

Duties will include:

Providing essential day-to-day care Feeding Grooming Cleaning equipment Handling, preparing, exercising the horses Carrying out routine yard duties

The ideal candidate will be able to:

Work well as part of a team Have a love of horses whatever the weather Be a friendly person

Training:
The successful candidate will undertake 15 months training to complete a Level 2 Equine Groom Apprenticeship All training will be carried out at the employer's premises, with the support of the employer, and will be delivered by Haddon Training Functional Skills, maths and English will form part of the apprenticeship if the successful candidate doesn't already hold a level 4 or above for each subject

Training Outcome:
Possible opportunities to enrol onto the Advanced Equine Groom Apprenticeship and further qualifications which can lead to job opportunities in competition yards, along with BHS training towards exams
