Apprentice Carpenter (Ref BEL-0002-26)
Assist qualified carpenters with first fix work (e.g. floor joists, wall partitions, roof structures)
Support second fix carpentry tasks such as fitting doors, skirting boards, architraves, and kitchens
Measure, cut, and prepare materials under supervision
Learn to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Use hand tools and power tools safely and correctly Help with the installation of timber frames, staircases, and roofing components
Maintain a clean and organised work area in line with site standards
Follow all health and safety procedures, including proper use of PPE
Assist with unloading and storing materials and deliveries Work collaboratively with other trades on site
Carry out basic quality checks on work to ensure it meets required standards
Report any issues, defects, or hazards to the supervising carpenter or site manager
Support snagging and finishing tasks towards project completion
Continuously develop practical skills and knowledge through on-the-job learning
Training:
Training is delivered through a monthly, week long block release at the college in Stratford
Training Outcome:
Upon completion of this apprenticeship there is the potential of permanent employment although this cannot be guaranteed

Training & Apprenticeships in Construction Ltd (TrAC) is a DfE approved Flexi Job Apprenticeship Agency who will employ you for the duration of the apprenticeship and pay your salary. You should be aware that you will be placed with a host employer but you will not be employed by them. Your placement may change during the course of your apprenticeship but TrAC will employ you throughout, as well as continuing to support you into employment or further learning at the end of your apprenticeship.
Working Hours :
Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 4:00pm.
