Apprentice Toolmaker

Ryeland Toolmakers are offering an exciting opportunity to join our skilled engineering team and learn the highly respected trade of Toolmaking from industry experts.

What you'll be doing:

From day one, you’ll be learning on real projects, using real machinery, and developing skills that can set you up for life.

You will:

Work alongside experienced, friendly toolmakers who will mentor you one to one Learn how precision press tools are manufactured from start to finish Use professional metal cutting machines including Horizontal & vertical milling machines, Pedestal drilling machines, and Surface grinders Progress onto advanced engineering equipment e.g. CNC milling machines and EDM wire cutting machines Build confidence, technical ability, and problem-solving skills every week

What we're looking for:

You don’t need experience — just the right attitude Good timekeeping Willingness to learn Conscientious and reliable Able to communicate and work as part of a team A driving licence would be helpful but is not essential

Training:

Engineering Technician Apprenticeship Delivered by attending one day a week to Milton Keynes College. Apprenticeship standard subject to change to Toolmaker and Tool and Die Maintenance Technician on enrolment.

Working Hours :
Monday–Thursday, 7:30am - 4:45pm. Friday, 7:30am - 12:30pm (early finish!).
