Apprentice Painter and Decorator - Mansfield

Your work will vary from contract to contract, but here’s an idea of what you’ll be up to:

Working on projects such as social housing, heritage buildings, schools, universities and commericial buildings Covering areas including (but not limited to): Nottingham, Mansfield, Newark, East Midlands, South Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, Cambridgeshire  Locations may vary depending on contracts, and you may occasionally travel further afield. We will help with transport where possible Depending on your home address, we will usually arrange a convenient collection point for you and a member of our team. This will be discussed during your interview Preparing surfaces (filling, sanding, caulking) Mastering the art of paint application (rolling, cutting in, brush skills) Sprucing up gloss work (doors and window frames, skirtings)
Getting outdoors with external works (railings, sheds, fences and walls) Exploring different sites, working both inside and outside in all weather, whether it’s getting hot in the homes, or wrapping up in the winter on a commercial site

You’ll also:

Attend college to understand the “how and why” of your trade (usually 1 day a week) Build an awesome portfolio of evidence for your End Point Assessment (EPA) Be a valued team member and contribute to our overall success

Training Outcome:
A permanent contract guaranteeing you a job once you are qualified Options to explore Supervisory/Foreperson roles for those interested in progression

Working Hours :
Monday to Thursday – 8 hours per day, Friday – 7 hours per day. (Monday - Thursday, 08:00 - 16:30, Friday, 08:00 - 15:30.
