Quantity Surveyor
A client within the housing sector based in the northeast is currently recruiting for a Project Quantity Surveyor to join their team as soon as possible.
The client is offering a full time, permanent position with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a housing environment.
The Role
Key purpose of the role is to evaluate all levels of commercial risk associated with their allocated projects.
Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
ensure that projects are delivered on time and to budget, protecting the client’s commercial and contractual interests throughout the Partnership Framework.
This role will underpin the operational delivery, enhance commercial awareness within the team and deliver a great customer experience along the way.
act as a source of professional advice to operational managers, lead the commercial aspect of your allocated schemes, certify payments to contractors, predict final outcomes/cash flows and report on your findings periodically.
The Candidate
To be considered for this role you will require to be commercially focused, have a degree or to be HNC qualified.
You should also have Quantity Surveying experience, preferably within a housing or commercial background.
The below skills would be beneficial for the role:
able to demonstrate commercial awareness and understand legislative requirements and practices within refurbishment, compliance, and social housing sector.
assist in mentoring the Trainee Quantity Surveyor who will support you with daily duties
full driving license, as travel to other sites is required
The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £50,936 per annum.
