Tata Steel - Level 3 Electrical Engineering Apprenticeship

Together with invaluable commercial and practical experience, you’ll gain several academic and vocational qualifications throughout your time with your employer and Make UK, which are fully paid for, including: 

Assist in preventative, predictive and routine maintenance work Identify and ensure critical spares are stocked and reordered Co-ordinate with suppliers to supply spare parts for machines Carry out TPM (Preventative Maintenance) schedules Carry out the maintenance of plant machinery, electrically Identifying and liaise with suppliers of maintenance services when required Investigating maintenance problems affecting production and identify improvements Maintain and record work and machine breakdown history Assist and learn from experienced electrical workers to help build skillset Focus strongly on safety, knowledge of electrical systems and building good electrical systems Work within and abide by the company policies Undertake all onsite training to successfully complete the training Attend college regularly to become a fully qualified Electrical craftsman with BTEC electrical engineering Undertake an NVQ qualification and learn and integrate the knowledge, skills and experiences

On completion of your studies, you will achieve your full apprenticeship certification that will prove competence as a Level 3 Electrical Engineering Technician.

Working Hours :
Initially apprentices will work days 7am - 3pm moving to a 2-shift rota while on day release at Make UK in Aston, this allows the business to match the apprentice with a dedicated engineering shift manager and their team.
