Prototype Wireperson

Prototype Wire person
Our client is looking for skilled and experienced Prototype Wireperson to join their team on a permanent basis.

They have been suppliers to the aerospace, defence, energy and other industries for several decades with high-quality testing equipment.
The right Prototype Wireperson will need to have:

- Experience in prototype assembly, ideally in the aerospace or defence sector
- The ability to demonstrate your capabilities during a skills test
- Work with in-house engineers to solve technical queries and provide solutions for prototype assemblies
- Be a great team player with excellent attention to detail with a methodical mindset
- Be accustomed to using a range of mil-spec connectors and cable production techniques
- Experience in the production of wiring looms or cable assemblies
- Well-practised in crimping, soldering and lacing to aerospace standards
- Be able to wire fixtures and cabinets
- PCB assembly experience is desirable but not essential
- Be able to understand engineering drawings, circuit diagrams and wiring schedules
- Experience working to IPC 620 Class 3 standards
- Need to be eligible for a security check

In return as a Prototype Wireperson, you’ll get:

- Overtime paid at 1.3x for hours worked past 39 hours
- Overtime paid at 1.5x for hours worked on weekends or bank holidays
- 39 hours a week with an early finish on a Friday
- 24 days of holiday per year plus bank holidays
- Option to work a 4-day, 39-hour week
