Your role will include;
To assist the Nursery Manager/Nursery Practitioner in the following duties: To create a stimulating and caring environment for children and to act as a parent figure. This includes Attending to their physical, emotional, social and cognitive needs. To prepare and plan your own activities to be carried out with children. To plan, prepare, implement and participate in activities and programmes devised to promote all aspects of the development of the children. To keep abreast of new research on what works for children as part of effective everyday practice. (full job description sent upon application) Working with all ages of babies and children 8 months to 4 years old. Assisting key staff with all duties, nappies, meals, sleep. Train for first aid, safeguarding and food hygiene. To read and adhere to all nursery policies. To help implement necessary health, safety, accident, fire and emergency procedures in accordance with Nursery policy. To assist in keeping the premises clean and tidy, including light domestic and practical duties, which could include tasks such as dusting, hoovering, tidying, watering plants, cleaning out or feeding pets, polishing, washing-up, cleaning the kitchen or bathroom, staff room and toilet, laundry.

Training Outcome:
There is a possibility of being offered a full time role after successful completion of the apprenticeship.
