Level 4 Manufacturing Maintenance Apprentice

Carry out routine maintenance on manufacturing equipment and machinery to support operational reliability. Perform basic repairs and component replacements under supervision, following approved procedures. Support the diagnosis and repair of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults. Respond effectively to equipment breakdowns to minimise downtime and restore operations. Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and documentation. Inspect equipment to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Work alongside production teams to improve equipment performance and reliability. Support the installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment when required. Maintain clean, safe, and well-organised work areas in line with health and safety requirements. 

Training:

You will be required to attend Advance 1 Campus, Dudley College, DY1 4AD, 1 day per week in term time only.

Upon successful completion of this apprenticeship, you will receive a Level 4 Engineering Manufacturing Technician (mechanical) HNC Apprenticeship qualification. You will be assigned an assessor who will visit you in the workplace every 6–8 weeks to support you on your apprenticeship. 

Training Outcome:

Progression to Qualified Maintenance Engineer.

By 2003 Magal Cables were maintaining supply of service parts for these customers.
From 2008 Magal Cables have won new original equipment contracts with Ford and introduced transfer work of mechanical assemblies, pedals, winches and handbrakes, pressing and moulding facilities have since been added as well as gearshift mechanisms and new 1st and 2nd tier automotive customers.

In 2020 the company changed ownership, is now part of Remsons Holdings Ltd and in 2023 as part of the group branding exercise, company is now named Remsons Automotive Limited.

Working Hours :
Monday to Thursday 08:15 - 16:45. Friday 08:15 - 13:15.
