Engineering Apprenticeship – Bakery Industry

As an Engineering Apprentice, you’ll work with experienced engineers to:

Maintain and repair machinery on our production lines Diagnose mechanical, electrical and automation faults Carry out preventative maintenance Learn how food production equipment works and how to keep it running efficiently Support continuous improvement across our bakery operations

Training:

About the Training Programme

Your apprenticeship combines hands‑on engineering experience at our sites with technical training delivered by MGTS (Midland Group Training Services).

Residential Training at MGTS (Coventry).

Your technical training will include residential blocks at MGTS, with accommodation fully funded by Lantmännen Unibake:

22 weeks in Year 1 14 weeks in Year 2 6 weeks in Year 3

This industry‑leading training will equip you with essential mechanical, electrical and automation skills.



Training Outcome:

After completing your apprenticeship, you could progress to a fully qualified Maintenance Engineer, with opportunities to specialise in:

Mechanical Electrical Automation

You’ll also have access to ongoing training, development and the chance to work on innovative engineering projects in a growing industry.
