Animal Care and Welfare Assistant Apprenticeship - Veterinary Physiotherapy

The apprentice will gain valuable hands-on experience supporting canine physiotherapy treatments, assisting with the preparation of equipment, handling and caring for dogs, and helping to maintain a clean and safe clinical environment.



Training:
All training will be provided on-site during your paid working hours Your day-to-day mentoring will be with your employer, and a combination of online and in-person monthly sessions will be held with your Haddon Training Trainer Coach Level 2 Animal Care apprenticeship Functional Skills in English and maths if required

Training Outcome:
Progression to the Level 3 Animal Care or other apprenticeship, and or possibility of full-time employment

Employer Description:

AG Veterinary Physiotherapy is an independent veterinary physiotherapy practice established in 2008, specialising in the treatment and rehabilitation of both dogs and horses. The business provides bespoke, evidence-based treatment programmes designed to improve mobility, support recovery from injury, reduce pain, and enhance overall performance. The practice operates with a small, highly qualified multidisciplinary team who work closely with veterinary surgeons and other professionals to ensure each animal receives a tailored rehabilitation plan.



Working Hours :
9:30am – 5:00pm, 3 days per week (days to be agreed with the learner), a 30-minute to 1-hour lunch break depending on the daily schedule (typically between 12pm–1pm).
