Apprentice Mechanic
The successful applicant will be involved in a range of duties which will include:
Assisting with servicing vehicles - carrying out checks and maintenance according to manufacturers’ guidelines Repairing and replacing faulty parts and components Carrying out brake checks Maintaining repair and service records Assisting in diagnosing vehicle defects and informing the senior mechanic of the work content Assisting in carrying out general repairs and major overhauls or replacement of engines and gearboxes as required Ensuring the security of vehicles Adhering to all health and safety procedures to ensure safe working practices Assisting with keeping the working environment clean and tidyFull training will be given.
Training:
Motor Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician - Light Vehicle Level 3.
You will attend our Eastbourne Campus one day a week during term time, where you will learn motor vehicle theory and practical skills.
Training Outcome:
Potential permanent full-time employment upon successful completion of the apprenticeship.
