M&E Day Shift Engineer – FM Service Provider – Commercial Estate – 4 on 4 off (Days Only) – Borehamwood, Hertfordshire – £47,000 per annum

Exciting opportunity to join an established FM service provider based at a commercial estate near Borehamwood, Hertfordshire. CBW Staffing Solutions is currently recruiting for an M&E Day Shift Engineer to work within a modern commercial estate environment.

The successful candidate will be electrically/mechanically qualified (C&G / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) with a proven track record in commercial building maintenance. Working as part of the on-site team, you will be responsible for delivering electrical, mechanical, and general building services maintenance across the site.

Hours of Work:

4 on 4 off (Days Only)
07:00 am – 19:00 pm / 06:00 am – 18:00 pm


Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenanceElectrical maintenance, including lighting, lamp changes, ballast replacements, small installations, control panels, and power distributionEmergency lighting testing and maintenanceMaintain and service AHUs and FCUs (filter changes, cleaning, basic maintenance)Chiller resets and first-line fault diagnosisWater treatment monitoring (temperature checks)Monitor and maintain mechanical plant, pumps, and motorsCarry out basic plumbing works, including unblocking toilets and minor repairsMonitor BMS systems (hot & cold checks)Ensure all work is completed professionally and within required timeframesProactively identify and resolve faults within building services equipmentEnsure health & safety compliance at all timesMaintain communication with client staff and site managementEscort specialist subcontractors when required

Requirements:
Electrically qualified – City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent18th Edition Wiring RegulationsProven track record in commercial building maintenanceExperience within large commercial or critical environmentsMulti-skilled across electrical, mechanical, and building servicesStrong communication and client-facing skillsMust be able to provide copies of trade certificatesMust be able to attend the site for a 07:00 am start
