Senior Human Factors Engineer

What You’ll Be Doing: - Analyse pilot use-cases and concepts of operation to guide cockpit design - Apply Human Factors principles to enhance HMI design for the Typhoon fighter aircraft - Collaborate with Avionics System teams, Test Pilots, Flight Test communities, and customers - Contribute to requirement derivation and conceptual HMI solutions - Participate in the development of immersive simulators and full-scale cockpit mock-ups - Support flight testing of new cockpit equipment and designs - Work on capabilities such as sensor integration, navigation, communications, weapons control, and defensive aids - Conduct Human Error Analysis to support safety and airworthiness - Define and evolve cockpit control schemes and visual symbology - Produce technical documentation, support usability assessments, and assist with qualification and system clearances What You’ll Bring: - A degree (or equivalent) in Human Factors, Psychology, or User-Centred Design - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Confidence in presenting to varied stakeholders - Experience deriving system requirements from high-level customer needs - Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks independently Desirable Skills: - Experience with usability testing, user assessments, and simulator-based trials - Knowledge or background in the Military Air domain - Familiarity with cockpit integration, HMI development, and fast jet systems This Role Is Perfect For You If You: - Are passionate about user-centred design and fast jets - Want to experience operating fighter jet systems in immersive simulations - Enjoy working in cross-functional teams to influence real-world defence technology - Thrive in a fast-paced, high-impact engineering environment Take the next step in your Human Factors career and help define the future of military aviation.
