An independent East London pub with a strong food focus is seeking an experienced and driven General Manager to lead the business. This is a hands‑on, guest‑focused role within a site that balances dining and drinks equally, making it ideal for a manager who can move confidently between the bar, the floor and the pass.

We’re looking for a leader who can take full ownership of the operation, working closely with the owner while having the autonomy to shape standards, drive revenue and develop the team. This is a rare opportunity to run a respected neighbourhood pub with genuine independence and creative input.

General Manager Requirements:

Proven management experience within a pub, bar or restaurant environment Strong understanding of restaurant‑style service and dining room standardsConfident with wine, cocktails and bar operationsA practical, adaptable leader who can oversee both FOH and BOH operationsAbility to motivate, train and develop a teamCommercial awareness, including stock control, labour management and driving revenueSomeone who thrives in an independent setting and enjoys taking ownership
