Degree Apprentice Planner

Assisting the Project Planning Team with evaluation of project documents to build detailed programmes specifying time and resource requirements from first principles. Assist the Project Planner in coding programme activities. Liaise with members of the team during the project process as required and assist with the coordination of their input into planning matters. Support development of high-level programmes into construction programmes, aiding the production of programmes throughout the duration of projects, and co-ordinating inputs and updates into the programme from the construction team. Produce reports as necessary under the supervision of the Project Planner. Attend the site regularly to assist site teams with planning matters. Compliance with the STRA-PLAN procedures and guidelines. Assist with providing productivity as-built data accumulated from the works to allow feedback to the Business Development team and availability to the wider planning team. Carry out secondment(s) to the Site Engineering Team to satisfy some KSB’s for professional qualifications if required.

This Degree Apprenticeship will be working in our Manchester office on the HARP Project.

The Haweswater Aqueduct Resilience Programme (HARP) is a major infrastructure scheme designed to secure the long-term water supply for millions of customers across the North West. The project includes the delivery of a new replacement aqueduct and requires access to a number of remote and logistically challenging locations.



Working Hours :
Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm, with one day a week spent on your apprenticeship at the university.
