Engineering Degree Apprentice
Participate in a variety of projects, assisting in ensuring they are completed on time and within budget
Gain a deep understanding of the technical and operational aspects crucial to railway systems engineering
Undertake formal University training, coursework and exams throughout the duration of the apprenticeship
Continued engagement and progress within apprenticeship programme
Supporting senior colleagues in tasks such as hazard identification and mitigation, fault analysis, technical investigation, auditing, design evaluation, structures assessment work, and maintenance optimisation
Preparing and presenting proposals for new work opportunities
Training:
Blended learning: combines remote online learning and face to face teaching delivered by block release in Nottingham
Training Outcome:
Upon successful completion of the Level 6 Electro-mechanical Engineering Degree Apprenticeship, the apprentice will achieve a recognised engineering degree and gain valuable industry experience. This will provide opportunities to progress into a permanent role within the engineering team.
The role may also lead to further professional development, including working towards Incorporated Engineer (IEng) or Chartered Engineer (CEng) status with a recognised professional engineering institution.
There will also be opportunities to take on greater technical responsibility, project leadership roles, and further specialist training within the organisation.
