We are currently recruiting for a SHEQ Assistant to work for a very well-established industry specialist with a strong trading history and a global reach within the Air Handling / HVAC sector.

We are looking for an experienced SHEQ Assistant with a manufacturing background to a very successful and established team.
The successful SHEQ Assistant will be responsible for reporting to the SHEQ manager and to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, environmental regulations, and quality control.
Duties for the SHEQ Assistant include:
Working with teams across the business to risk assess activities and identify improvements.
Involvement with writing, implementing and reviewing Risk/COSHH assessments and Safe Systems of Works.
Prepare and deliver Toolbox Talks.
Control and monitor training Matrix & Records and identify training needs.
Working with Maintenance department liaise with contractors to ensure routine H&S service contracts are carried out in a timely fashion.
Assist with Audits and Client Evaluations.
Collate and digitally file all associated production H&S Documentation.
Carrying out QESH inductions for all new starters.
Maintain Equipment Calibration register.
Ensure Company vehicle fleet are maintained.
Qualifications required of SHEQ Assistant:
Health and safety qualification desirable i.e.
Knowledge of ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 9001:2015.
Computer literate in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Knowledge of CHAS, Safe Contractor and Constructionline Audits Desirable.
Experience required of SHEQ Assistant:
Experience with conducting internal audits desirable.
Experience of working in a manufacturing environment.
This role would suit someone commuting from Bradford, Leeds, Huddersfield, Wakefield or in and around the West Yorkshire area
