Electrical Apprentice
As an Electrical Apprentice, you will work alongside qualified electricians, gaining practical experience while learning the trade on site.
Daily duties to include:
First fix electrical work - helping install cables, wiring, and containment before walls and ceilings are finished Second fix electrical work - assisting with fitting sockets, switches, lights, and other electrical accessories Electrical testing - supporting basic testing and checks to ensure installations are safe and working correctly Helping to repair faults or make improvements to existing electrical installations Assisting electricians when responding to urgent or reactive electrical jobs Working as part of the team and carrying out instructions as directed Collecting equipment and keeping the work area organised, tidy and safe Willingness to learn - showing enthusiasm, listening to guidance, and developing skills through hands-on experience and trainingThis role is ideal for someone practical, reliable, and keen to build a long-term career in the electrical industry.

Training:
You will be pursuing a Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard as Installation Electrician, through Weston College As part of this program, you will attend Weston College as instructed by the college An assessor will conduct on-site observations to evaluate your progress, as well as support you in college throughout your apprenticeship At the conclusion of your program, your qualification will be assessed through an Apprenticeship Assessment

We are a fully approved NICEIC contractor and as a team we have combined knowledge of over 20 years’ experience in the electrical industry. The journey began working through an apprenticeship for a large nationwide company covering commercial and retail projects with large established companies such as Dunelm, Lidl, Halfords and Travis Perkins and working in schools. After completing the electrical apprenticeship I then moved on to sub-contracting work to enhance my knowledge with a much larger variety of electrical installation projects spanning new build domestic work, home rewires and minor works to multi-million pound projects such as Hinkley Point, schools and NHS buildings.

Working Hours :
Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 5.00pm. Two days per week in college during year 1.
