CNC Milling Machinist

Night Shift | Havant, Portsmouth

We’re supporting a leading engineering business seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join their night shift team.

The Role:
You’ll be responsible for setting and operating CNC machines, ensuring high-quality output while meeting production deadlines and maintaining safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
• Set and operate Mazak/Heidenhain CNC machines
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and G-code (ISO/Mazatrol)
• Maintain quality standards and 5S practices
• Work to set cycle times and deadlines
• Support continuous improvement (Lean / CI)
• Work flexibly across milling and turning when required
• Assist with cross-training and team development

Requirements:

• Offline programming (Edgecam/Mastercam)
• 5+ years CNC machining experience in manufacturing
• Experience with Mazak/Mazatrol controls
• Strong understanding of milling and turning
• Ability to read engineering drawings and CNC code
• Apprentice trained (preferred)
• Knowledge of Lean, 5S, and Health & Safety
