CNC Miller / CNC Programmer Setter Operator

Location: Nottingham / Derby area
Salary: £17.00 – £18.00 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week

Experienced CNC Miller required to program, set and operate XYZ (Prototrak controls) or 3axis CNC Mills , producing precision components within a well-established engineering company offering an early finish every Friday.

CNC Miller – Role Overview
A well-established precision engineering subcontract manufacturer is looking to recruit a CNC Miller / CNC Programmer Setter Operator to join their busy CNC machining team.
The role involves programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines, primarily XYZ CNC Mills using Prototrak controls, producing precision machined components from engineering drawings.
This role would suit an experienced CNC Miller, CNC Milling Machinist or CNC Programmer with strong experience in 3-axis CNC machining within a precision engineering environment.

CNC Milling Responsibilities
Programming, setting and operating CNC milling machinesMachining components using 3-axis CNC milling machinesWorking with XYZ CNC Mills using Prototrak controlsEditing and adjusting CNC programsSelecting tooling and setting machine offsetsReading and interpreting engineering drawingsProducing precision components to tight tolerancesCarrying out in-process inspection using measuring equipment
Machines & Controls
Experience with any of the following would be beneficial:XYZ CNC Mills – PrototrakBrother CNC machining centres – Fanuc controlsHaas CNC milling machines-axis CNC machiningExposure to 4-axis or 5-axis machining advantageous
Working Hours
Monday – Thursday: 7:30am – 4:30pmFriday: 7:30am – 12:30pm (early finish)
