Apprenticeship in Business Administration (Service Support) with Stoke-on-Trent City Council

The apprentice will be: 

Carrying out general clerical and administrative duties such as typing, data entry, filing, photocopying, and email management Acting as a first point of contact for telephone enquiries or reception visitors, taking messages and directing queries; Organising meetings and providing an accurate note-taking service Working flexibly to support teams across Children’s Social Care assisting with financial transactions as required Completing all required apprenticeship training, including attending college and submitting course-work Following all Council policies and procedures, including health and safety requirements

Training:
The apprentice will spend most of their time learning and training on the job in the workplace, supported by experienced colleagues The apprentice will also be enrolled on a Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship standard and will attend face-to-face or on-line learning sessions

Training Outcome:
Apprentices will be on a fixed-term contract and although there is no guarantee of a permanent role at the end of the apprenticeship the Council does retain most of its apprentices who then go on to have successful careers and also gain higher level qualifications
