Apprentice Pharmacy Services Assistant Level 2

Pharmacy Services Assistant supports the safe and efficient running of a pharmacy under the supervision of a pharmacist.

This role involves assisting with the preparation and dispensing of prescriptions, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring medicines are handled correctly.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in dispensing prescriptions accurately Serve customers and offer advice on over-the-counter products Manage stock levels, including ordering and storing medicines Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment Follow health and safety, confidentiality, and legal guidelines

Requirements:

Good communication and teamwork skills Attention to detail and willingness to learn Basic maths and English skills

Training:

Work towards a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant qualification alongside on-the-job training

Training Outcome:
After completing a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant apprenticeship, you can progress to a Level 3 Pharmacy Technician apprenticeship, where you take on more responsibility in dispensing and patient care With experience, you could become a qualified pharmacy technician, specialise in areas like hospital pharmacy, or move into supervisory or management roles within a pharmacy setting

Aldridge Pharmacy is a community pharmacy in Walsall based at Anchor Meadow Health Centre. It provides NHS and private services including dispensing prescriptions, health advice, vaccinations, and treatment for minor illnesses, supporting patients alongside local GP services with accessible everyday healthcare.

Working Hours :
Monday - Friday, 8.30 am - 6.30pm (maybe required to work weekends)
