Commis Chef Apprentice

Preparing and chopping vegetables, meats, and other ingredients
● Assisting senior chefs with basic cooking tasks
● Measuring and weighing ingredients accurately
● Preparing stocks, sauces, and simple dishes
● Keeping workstations clean and organised
● Following food safety and hygiene standards
● Receiving and storing deliveries correctly
● Learning different kitchen sections and supporting the team



Training:

Work-based training with one college day per week at City College Plymouth.



Training Outcome:

Possible permanent position on successful completion of the apprenticeship.



Employer Description:

We are a local family living on the Rame Peninsula passionate about both food and
happiness. Shane has worked in the catering industry for over 15 years, gaining a wide
range of food knowledge and experience, including winning awards for his culinary skills.
Natalie has been teaching locally for 7 years and is passionate about providing a service
and space that is friendly, welcoming and brings people together. That is what our
community is about.



Working Hours :
Variable shifts including some evenings and weekends.
