Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprenticeship at Little Discoveries
About the Apprenticeship:
As an Early Years Assistant at Little Discoveries, you will have the chance to work with the team to develop and plan exciting learning opportunities both inside and outside the classroom.
Our Nursery team are passionate about the provision they create and are excited to be able to extend their team to support learning and role modelling good EY practice.
Perhaps you are leaving school this year, or you already hold a Level 2 qualification and are ready to take the next step — either way, we would love to hear from you.
You will receive a full induction, including Paediatric First Aid and Food Hygiene training, and you will also take part in our annual team training days.
Main duties include:
Carrying out planned activities under the guidance, direction and supervision of the Nursery Manager/Deputy manager and team. This may include activities such as cooking, group time, stories, play-acting, singing, etc, to stimulate children’s language, promoting questions and develop ideas. Being a member of the team providing high-quality child-care provision, including taking care of children’s personal needs such as feeding, toileting, self-care. Be committed to the Safeguarding and Welfare of the children and follow policies and procedures relating to all aspects of the Early Years setting.About Little Discoveries Yeovil:
Located within the grounds of Westfield Academy, Stiby Road, Yeovil, our nursery provides high-quality care and education for children aged 0–4 years, with 32 registered places.
We are open 51 weeks a year, between 8.00am and 6.00pm, Monday to Friday. Your allocated shifts will fall within these times.
Training:
Level 3 Early Years Educator Functional Skills in English and maths if required End Point Assessment: Knowledge Test and Professional Discussion
