Level 3 Early Years apprentice
To promote the aims and objectives of the setting
To contribute to a planned programme of activities suitable to the age range of children in conjunction with other staff
To ensure the setting maintains a high standard of physical and emotional care
To ensure high standards of hygiene and cleanliness are maintained at all times
To ensure confidentiality of information received
Liaise with parents/carers, other family members and staff to help ensure that the particular needs of children are met and that parental choice is considered in terms of care given
To keep professional working relationships with parents at all times
Strive to safeguard children by working to the organisation’s safeguarding Code of Conduct; ensuring Setting policies and procedures are observed at all times.
Liaise with and support parents/carers and other family members;
To develop your role within the team especially with regard as a key worker;
To report accidents immediately to persons in charge and complete relevant paperwork
To ensure that the safeguarding of children is paramount at all times
To inform the Nursery Manager IMMEDIATELY of any concerns and changes to your DBS. To provide details and personal documentation to update your DBS check every 3 years as well as signing up to the DBS update service.
To follow whistleblowing policy to ensure that the children’s safety is your priority
To attend training courses when required
Training:
Training will take place one day a week at our Colindale Site (NW9)
Training Outcome:
The successful candidate can go onto further training, or into employment
