Civil Engineering Technician Apprenticeship Level 3
Initially the successful candidate will train and become competent in drawing and modelling the civil engineering designs using a variety of software packages, whilst completing the college course one day a week. The role will be office-based in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire, working with a team of engineers and CAD technicians with the opportunity to do occasional site visits to support our clients.
Following successful completion of the Level 3 apprenticeship and obtaining the EngTech qualification with the Institution of Civil Engineers, the candidate can choose to specialise in CAD drawings/modelling or, if the business need supports it, can progress onto a degree level course and potentially progress through to chartered civil engineer.
Daily duties:
Prepare documentation including but not limited to drawings, models, estimates, schedules, quantities as directed by a Project Engineer Prepare drawings and models in accordance with the company’s BIM manual Liaise with both internal and external stakeholders as directed by a Project Engineer Participate in site surveys and investigations as required Co-ordinate with other BIM technicians/designers in the regional offices and between Groups Undertake a relevant apprenticeship qualification as agreed Check drawings including reinforced concrete schedulesTraining:
An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.

Working Hours :
Start and finish flexible. 5 days per week Monday - Friday Min 7.5hrs per day. Hours per week: 37.5 Breaks and lunchtime: Flexible. Min. 30mins, max. 1.5hrs
