School Admin Apprentice

To welcome all families, visitors and callers to the school, ensuring registration procedures and safeguarding checks are followed and to direct visitors to the appropriate area, informing personnel of their arrival. To be part of the day to day administrative function, supporting the effective running of the general office and daily routine administration To ensure the reception area is always tidy and presentable and visitor, parent information and forms are available and up to date. To provide support to the parents and pupils of the school To answer telephone calls, taking and logging messages, answering general queries and transferring calls to the appropriate personnel Under supervision, to input data on the school MIS and keep pupil and staff information up to date. To enter data, under supervision, on Arbor (MIS, school meals system) to include financial receipts and balancing. To undertake training on the text messaging system and assist with parent communication by sending out texts, emails and regular communications To open, sort and distribute incoming mail and to assist with processing outgoing communications. Be willing to undertake first aid training and once qualified to administer basic first aid to sick children under the direction of the Welfare Officer To assist in the checking and receipt of goods against purchase orders, invoices and notify relevant personnel
 

Training:

This apprenticeship is delivered as a day release, you will be required to attend college once a week. 

Level 3 Business Administrator Standard Behaviour, Skills and Knowledge

Training Outcome:
There is an opportunity to secure a permanent position after successfully completing the apprenticeship.

Local Authority maintained Junior school (Year groups 3-6)

Working Hours :
Monday to Friday. 8.45am to 3.30pm, with 45 minutes lunch break.
