Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair Apprenticeship
Duties include:
Carrying out foundation tasks common to all service and repair procedures Contributing to a safe working environment Accessing information such as wiring diagrams and technical data Using complex diagnostic, mechanical and electrical measuring equipment Removing, repairing/replacing components to manufacturer’s specification Applying advanced diagnostic principles and logical problem-solving techniquesOther duties include:
Light vehicle servicing Removing Tyres Repairing punctures Wheel balancing Tyres and Brakes Fault Diagnosis on cars and light commercial vehicles using computer equipment and through a process of elimination Removal and replacement of a range of vehicle parts Assisting the other members of the team with more complex tasks Supporting the delivery of MOT Tests Basic servicing, including car health checks Steering and suspension Electrical fault diagnostics Shadowing Technicians Cleaning the workshop Moving vehicles (depending on license)Training:
Motor Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician - Light Vehicle (level 3) Apprenticeship Standard At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying Level 2 Functional skills in English & maths (if required)
Training Outcome:
Once qualified, there will be the opportunity for further advanced training and may be the chance for progression within the company

We are a very busy motor vehicle repair workshop, which deals with MOT’s servicing, tyres and all general repair work.
Working Hours :
Monday - Friday, 9.00am - 6.00pm
