School Nurse (Part-Time, Fixed Term Contract)

Nurse Seekers are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-regarded independent preparatory school in Surrey for a compassionate and dedicated School Nurse to join their team on a fixed-term basis for one term with a view to go full time but this is not a requirement.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a patient and nurturing Registered Nurse to support the health and wellbeing of children within a supportive school environment.

The Role

The successful candidate will act as the first point of contact for medical care within the school, providing nursing support and first aid to pupils and staff. You will also act as the first responder in any medical emergency, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for the school community.

Working Hours

This is a part-time role with the following schedule:

Monday: 08:00 – 16:30Tuesday: 08:00 – 16:30Wednesday: 08:00 – 13:00

The contract will run from 20th April 2026 to 1st July 2026.

Key Responsibilities

Provide first aid and nursing care to pupils and staffAct as the first responder in medical emergenciesMaintain accurate medical records and documentationSupport the overall health and wellbeing of the school communityLiaise with staff and parents where appropriate regarding medical matters

Requirements

Registered Nurse with a valid NMC registrationExperience working with children or within a school setting is desirableExcellent communication and organisational skillsA calm, patient and nurturing approach
