Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people? We are currently recruiting for dedicated and compassionate Residential Support Workers to join a 4 bed therapeutic children’s home in Swindon.
This home supports children aged 8–16 who have experienced childhood trauma, providing a safe, nurturing, and structured environment where they can begin to heal, grow, and thrive.
About the Role:
As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting young people with their day to day lives, helping them build positive relationships, develop life skills, and achieve emotional stability. You will be part of a supportive team delivering trauma-informed care tailored to each child’s needs.
Shift Pattern:
2 long day shifts and 1 short shift per week
1–2 sleep-in shifts per week (required)
Key Responsibilities as a Support Worker:
Provide consistent, high-quality care and emotional support
Build trusting relationships with children and young people
Support daily routines, including education, activities, and appointments
Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
Maintain accurate records and reports
Work collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals

Individuals with a caring, resilient, and patient nature
Experience working with children or young people
Understanding of trauma-informed care (or willingness to learn)
Flexibility to work long days and sleep-in shifts
Strong communication and teamwork skills
