Production Support Technician

Holt Engineering are working with a family run manufacturing based in Portsmouth. They are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Production Support Technician to join the manufacturing team. This is a hands-on role supporting production operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and smooth communication across departments. You will play a key part in maintaining production systems, managing documentation, and supporting shop floor activities. This is a Full time Role working Monday to Friday 7:30am-4pm with an early finish on Fridays.  Paying £14-£14.50 Per Hour  Key Responsibilities for the Production Support Technician:  - Act as the main contact for production queries, working with the Inspection team - Process forms submitted by operators - Carry out weekly checks of COSHH cupboards - Manage the tool cupboard, including issuing and tracking tools - Update and maintain Manufacturing Build Instructions, including digitising documents - Keep location data up to date on the Production Management system - Return unused stock to stores - Monitor job timings and report any issues - Update BOM requests and manage data  - Raise Non-Conformance Incident Reports - Issue stock for specific projects To be a successful Production Support Technician:   - Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment  - Strong organisational skills with attention to detail - Confident using production or manufacturing systems  - Good communication skills and ability to work across teams - Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively - Experience with time and motion studies or process improvement (Desirable) Benefits for the Production Support Technician:  - Competitive salary - Free Parking - Opportunities for development and progression long term  - Supportive and collaborative working environment - Training on internal systems and processes If you are looking for a new challenge in your Career then the Production Support Technician role could be the position for you!
