Apprentice Flexographic Label Printer
In addition to the BPIF's learning programme, the apprentice will be given support in gaining practical experience in all aspects of the production of labels and tags.
The apprentice will ultimately produce plain and printed labels on a variety of materials, using the skills learnt through the training programme.
Training:
The training course from BPIF is the L3 Print Technician apprenticeship, and is seen as equivalent to A-level.
All training is on-site at Sprite Labels. However, there would be visits to suppliers, such as manufacturers of die-cutting equipment, printing plates and raw materials, to give a deeper understanding of the handling and care of the various elements.
Practical training will be given by a mentor, who will take the apprentice under their wing throughout the course.
Training Outcome:
The successful completion of the apprenticeship leads to the permanent, full-time post of Flexographic Printer.
