Apprentice Dental Nurse

Provide chairside support to the dentist during a range of procedures Prepare and select the correct instruments, equipment and materials Carry out sterilisation and infection control procedures Mix, handle and store dental materials safely Monitor and reassure patients throughout their treatment Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records Assist with stock control and ordering supplies Promote good oral health and provide appropriate advice to patients Ensure the practice maintains high standards of cleanliness and compliance

Training:
Dental Nurse Apprenticeship Standard Day-release attendance at college On-the-job training within the dental practice Completion of a work-based portfolio and assessments Ongoing support from a dedicated Professional Trainer End-point assessment to achieve full apprenticeship certification

Training Outcome:

To become a permanent employee of the practice and continue your development within the dental profession.
