Install Engineer Apprenticeship

Carry out second-fix installation of automated gates, barriers, bollards, and roller garage doors, including wiring, mounting components, testing, and commissioning. Assist with first-fix works where required, including groundworks, cable pulling, and motor box installation. Install and commission intercom and access control systems Read and interpret wiring diagrams and installation drawings Complete all job documentation accurately, both digital and paper-based. Observe all health and safety guidelines to ensure the safety of yourself and others. Manage your own time on jobs to ensure maximum efficiency Communicate job progress with the operations team. Share best practices and knowledge with other team members Support senior engineers with additional tasks as your skills and confidence develop.

Training:

Training will take place at Gloucestershire College, Cheltenham Campus, Princess Elizabeth Way, Cheltenham, GL51 7SJ. For the first two years, the apprentice will attend college two days per week, with the remaining three days spent working on site with PAC. After year two, training moves fully into the workplace, with assessments and observations carried out on site.



Training Outcome:

Become a fully qualified installation and automation engineer, with the opportunity to progress into a permanent role at PAC.

Working Hours :
Planned 40 hours per week on-site (Mon-Fri, 08:00 - 16:30).
