Level 3 Veterinary Nurse Apprenticeship

Reception skills and client communication High level disinfection or clinic organisation with stock control and daily cleans of the wards and equipment Take part in patient husbandry from walking, feeding, cleaning bedding, grooming and administering medications Patient handling for a variety of species Sedation and general anaesthesia monitoring Patient recovery Laboratory work on a variety of internal machines Learn to take bloods and place IVs Learn to position for radiographs Witness and assist in referral surgeries alongside diplomats and certificate holders Conduct nursing consults when required

We encourage our nurses to be practical and hands-on, learning skills to enable blood taking, IV placements and radiograph positioning so they can support the vets in patient care and be part of the process to improving patients' lives!



Training Outcome:
Full time employment position with outcome to continue employment after the 2.5- 3 year course duration and progress your career further Once qualified, there are plenty of opportunities to progress, whether that’s with certificates in particular fields, becoming a senior nurse and mentoring new apprenticeship or pathway to more managerial positions

Working Hours :
Battersea: One working week of days, nights and daytime weekends. One working week of nights, weekend shifts and then a week off (7 working days followed by 7 days off). Each week will be 33-36 hours (including college time).
