About the Role
Rehability UK is offering an exciting opportunity for a Support Worker Apprentice to join their team in Anstey.

This role provides the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in adult social care while working towards a Level 2 Adult Care Worker Apprenticeship.

You will support adults with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs and complex care requirements, helping them live as independently as possible and participate in their local community.

Key Responsibilities

Provide practical and emotional support to individuals within the service Assist service users with daily living tasks and personal care where required Encourage independence and support individuals to develop life skills Support individuals to access community activities, appointments and social opportunities Follow individual care plans and risk assessments Maintain accurate records and report any concerns to senior staff Promote health, safety and wellbeing at all times Follow safeguarding procedures and organisational policies Work alongside experienced support workers while completing apprenticeship training

Working Hours

This is a full-time role with shifts varying depending on service needs.
Typical shift patterns may include:

7:00am – 3:00pm 9:00am – 5:00pm 8:00am – 8:00pm 8:00pm – 8:00am (night shifts may be required)

Flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends and occasional night shifts is required.

Requirements

We are looking for someone who is:

Caring, patient and compassionate Passionate about supporting others Reliable and responsible A good communicator with a positive attitude Able to work independently and as part of a team

Essential:

Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle Willingness to complete the Level 2 Adult Care Worker Apprenticeship Previous care experience is not essential, but an interest in health and social care is important

Apprenticeship Training:

You will complete the Level 2 Adult Care Worker Apprenticeship, gaining knowledge and practical experience in:

Person-centred care Safeguarding and duty of care Communication and professional care practice Supporting independence and wellbeing Career Progression

Successful completion of the apprenticeship may lead to:

A permanent Support Worker role Progression to a Level 3 Lead Adult Care Worker Apprenticeship Further career opportunities within Rehability UK
