NDT & Metrology Apprentice
Train in multiple NDT methods (e.g. Ultrasonic, Radiographic & Phased Array
Assist with inspection of composite and metallic components
Support dimensional measurement using CMMs, laser trackers and 3D scanning systems
Contribute to research, validation and manufacturing development projects
Work alongside experienced Level 2 and Level 3 Engineers in a high-tech R&D setting
Training:
Non-Destructive Technologies Technician Level 3.
The apprenticeship programme is designed to gain skills and technical expertise to become a certified NDT Operative in three NDT Methods. This includes health and safety training, 1-to-1 mentoring, seminars, practical work experience sessions, and on-the-job training.
The candidates will keep records of their learning and experience throughout the programme and create an improvement plan.
On successful completion of the apprenticeship scheme, further qualifications may be gained.

Training Outcome:
Following successful completion of Apprenticeship, appointment as Technician in NDT & Metrology Team. With further supported study, progression to Research Engineer and beyond is possible, along with qualification in additional NDT methods and subsequent Level 3 certification.
