Role
The Apprentice Engineer will be responsible for developing skills in the maintenance, and optimisation of mechanical systems.
Through hands-on training and mentorship, the apprentice will learn to support the:
Development Installation Maintenance of automated systems, robotics, and/or machinery while ensuring operational efficiency and safety.The Apprentice Engineer will be expected to work towards and complete the apprenticeship program with a focus on self-development, progression, and ownership.
You will also be trained in a variety of welding disciplines to facilitate repairs to complex systems.
At the end of the program, they should aim to be a competent maintenance engineer and be able to work well as a key part of a shift team or alone on a multitude of equipment with minimal extra support.
Training:
Together with invaluable commercial and practical experience, you’ll gain several academic and vocational qualifications throughout your time with your employer and Make UK, which are fully paid for, including:
Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Practical Foundation Training – in year 1, in 6 week blocks to include 4 weeks at Make UK and 2 weeks in company Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Workplace Competence Training - in years 2 to 4 in company Level 3 BTEC Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Development Knowledge - in Years 1, 2 & 3 on block release to Make UK In house training in line with your requirements. Further qualifications deemed necessary by your employerOn completion of your studies, you will achieve your full apprenticeship certification that will prove competence as a Level 3 Mechatronics Maintenance Engineering Technician.
Training Outcome:
Should the candidate successfully complete the apprenticeship, possibility of a full time Mechanical maintenance Engineering role within the business.
Potential opportunities for further development for a HNC/HND.

Working Hours :
At the company, you will be scheduled to work between 7.00am and 6.00pm, Monday to Friday. Shifts to be agreed.
