Apprentice Foundry Technician
To assist in efforts to develop and maintain continuous improvements to meet customer requirements whilst learning knowledge of processes and procedures.
Assist and learn from sand lab technicians and managers.
To document all results in a timely fashion to meet the business needs.
Assist and document all parameters on the sand mill in real time.
Report any deviations within the process.
Learn all aspects of the processes involved at Vanguard Foundry for making sand moulds.
Learn and develop knowledge of the core making process.
Check and report on daily audit sheets non-conformance of core products.
Understand the variables associated with core making and their consequences.
Learn and understand the melting and casting process.
Actively get involved with metal testing and metal melting.
Convey all results to supervisors and managers.
Obtain knowledge of health and safety according to HASAWA 1974.
Promote a safe working environment within the departments.
Report on any unsafe working practices.
Undertake further training to suit the business needs if asked.
Training:
One day per week training at College at City of Wolverhampton College (Wellington Road).

Working Hours :
Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.00pm.
