Level 2 Carpentry and Joinery Apprentice

As an Apprentice Joiner at YourRetreats, you’ll work alongside experienced joiners to help craft our premium, tailor-made lodges from the ground up. You’ll gain experience working with a variety of high-quality materials and assist with everything from structural timber frameworks to detailed interior finishes, including flooring, partitioning, cladding, and bespoke fittings. This is a workshop-based role where attention to detail and a willingness to learn are essential.

Responsibilities

Assist in constructing, installing, and repairing wooden structures and fixtures Learn to measure, cut, and shape wood and other materials accurately Support the installation of cabinets, counters, flooring, and fitted furniture Learn to read and interpret technical drawings and plans Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment Work collaboratively with qualified joiners and other tradespeople Ensure tools and equipment are used safely and properly maintained

Requirements

Genuine interest in joinery and construction Willingness to learn and develop practical skills Good attention to detail Positive attitude and strong work ethic Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team Basic understanding of health and safety (training will be provided)

Training:

Day-release training will take place at Burnley College.

Training Outcome:

Clear progression opportunities will be provided as skills develop.

Working Hours :
Monday to Friday, 8 hour shifts, with 1:30pm finish on Fridays.
