Engineering Operative Apprentice
Whilst working with a skilled machinist, training will be provided to include:
Carrying out light machining duties including the use of cylindrical, surface and centreless grinding machines Carrying out light machining duties to include the use of manual lathes, milling machines and various small machine shop process operations Accessing information such as component drawings and technical data Using mechanical and electrical measuring equipment Inspecting and QC reporting Contributing to a safe working environment, by adhering to Health and Safety processes including abrasive wheel regulations and manual lifting trainingTraining:
Engineering Operative Level 2 Apprenticeship qualification Maths/English at Functional Skills level 2, if required 1 day per week at college, term time only
Training Outcome:
Possible full-time position upon completion of the apprenticeship

Working Hours :
Monday - Friday, between 8.00am and 4.30pm.
