Groundworker Apprenticeship

We expect the Apprentice Groundworker to be self-motivated and also be flexible to manage both their working and study time as required.

You will be trained to carry out a range of construction skills including:

All aspects of groundworks Drainage Ducting installation plus brickwork Cncreting and other civil engineering activities

Training:
Once completed, you will achieve a Groundworker Level 2 Apprenticeship qualification The classroom learning aspect of the course will be conducted at Leeds College of Learning Training will be on a block release

Training Outcome:
Those who have completed the Groundworker Apprenticeship Level 2 will be able to progress their career in a few avenues within Alpha, some of which could be towards machine operators, fixers, gangers, supervisors or even site management

Employer Description:

Alpha Construction Ltd is a civil engineering and building contractor, trading for 44 years, focused on providing safe, sustainable, cost-effective solutions to clients across the UK. From a head office based in Derbyshire, the construction projects are located across England and Wales.  Site based staff are expected to be able to travel to the work locations and lodge away from home during the week when necessary. 

Working Hours :
Monday- Friday, 7.30am- 5.00pm. There may be some weekend work if the project requires it.
