Hose Reel PDI & Service Level 3 Engineer Apprentice

Briggs Irrigation in Corby is a leading UK manufacturer of specialist irrigation equipment. Since1985 they have designed and built hose reels, irrigation booms and pump systems used worldwide. They combine traditional engineering skills with modern technology and invest heavily in apprentices.

So in this apprenticeship you will be working towards your Level 3 Mechatronics Maintenance Technician - Multiskilled qualification. Attending Tresham College in Corby where you will develop mechanical, electrical and customer support skills.

This apprenticeship develops the skills required to become a multi-skilled Hose Reel PDI and Service Engineer. You will work in the Corby facility and at customer sites, learning how to inspect, maintain and support irrigation machinery.

The employer is looking for someone who has a practical and hands-on mindset with an interest in mechanical or electrical engineering.

You will need to have good communication skills with a willingness to travel and work on customer sites.

An interest or exposure to agriculture is beneficial but not essential.

Your Role After Training will be to:

Pre-delivery inspection of hose reels and machinery On-site service, fault finding and repairs Routine maintenance and preventative servicing Professional customer technical support Accurate service reporting and feedback

Briggs Apprenticeship Experience Half Day:

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to a half-day Briggs experience to see the role in action Includes a site tour, practical activity and a chance to meet the team

Training:
Pearson level 3 BTEC diploma in advanced manufacturing engineering (development technical knowledge) EAL level 3 NVQ extended diploma in engineering maintenance level 2 functional skills English and maths if required 

Training Outcome:
Discussion for further progression on completion of apprenticeship
