Apprentice Greenkeeper

The day-to-day tasks will vary depending on priority and the seasons, but will include: 

Maintenance tasks of 18 Hole Golf Course, including greens, tees, bunkers and the wider native areas on the site Using both handheld and machinery equipment Supporting the team to ensure turf presentation is of the highest level

Training:
Golf Greenkeeper Level 2 The training will take place in person, bi-weekly at Plumpton College

Training Outcome:

Development onto a Level 3 qualification if desired and First Assistant roles. 

Employer Description:

East Brighton Golf Club was founded in 1893 and has a storied history. We are currently in the middle of an investment plan on the course, with new bunkers and mounding changing the face of the Club. We have 500 Members and are very popular for society and visitor golfers to Brighton. We have a clubhouse, pro shop, halfway hut and office - with the Club open 364 days a year. It is a busy and vibrant place to work.

Working Hours :
Working schedule to be agreed depending on the apprentice. One in three weekends to be worked. A mix of hours across the week, with start times from 6.00am in the summer. Exact shifts TBC.
