Inspection Apprentice
Responsible for carrying out quality checks throughout the manufacturing operations to ensure quality is built in
and that any defects or concerns are highlighted and dealt with in line with relevant quality standards AS9100
Work to and maintain 5S methodology
Report any breakdowns to Line Manager
Read & interpret drawings and product routings
Manufacturing standard operation procedures (SOPs) adherence and development of lean processes
Calibrate equipment
Complete FAIR’s process
Control of gauges
Complete QAS198 inspection
Review and sign off certificate of conformity and subcontractor purchase orders
Write Macro’s for load testers
Deal with customer requests as required
Pass or reject springs with supporting documentation
Follows instructions and guidance and demonstrates attention to detail
Communicate with Special Processes, Technical, Quality,
Production, Grinding and Admin
Complete product records
Training:
Lean Manufacturing Level 2
Functional Skills maths/ English if required
Training to be delivered within the workplace
Coach visits
Online portfolio
Training Outcome:
For the successful apprentice, there could be opportunity to continue to grow and develop within the team and a long lasting career
