Social Care Worker - Carlow

AA Euro Healthcare is currently recruiting for a permanent Social Care Worker on behalf of our client, a well-established residential care provider located in Carlow area. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dedicated team supporting children and young people in a therapeutic residential setting.

Role Overview

The Social Care Worker plays a key role in supporting the day to day care, safety, and development of children and young people living in residential care. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering consistent, compassionate, and trauma informed care.

This is a shift based role including evenings, weekends, sleepovers and waking night duties to ensure 24-hour support.

Essential Requirements

QQI Level 7 qualification in Social Care or a related discipline (e.g., Social Studies, Psychology, Youth & Community Work, Social Work, Counselling, Disability Studies, Nursing, Teaching)Relevant experience working with children or vulnerable young peopleExperience supporting individuals with complex or challenging needsUnderstanding of trauma informed care and child developmentStrong communication and teamwork skillsAbility to remain calm and resilient under pressureExperience in residential care settingsKnowledge of HIQA standardsEligibility to work in Ireland without the need of sponsorship.Full clean manual driving licence (Ireland)
