Apprentice Public Relations and Communications Assistant
This will involve the creation and selling in of media materials, supporting the Press Officers and Media & PR Manager on major projects, supervision of filming and photography, and administrative duties to support the Press Office.
Whilst studying towards your apprenticeship you will also be:
Be a core member of the Press Office Team: triaging incoming media enquiries, arranging and supervising PR photography, supplying imagery for editorial use, providing ad-hoc support for Social Media Team during busy periods, raising and administering POs using the EFINancials system, with some work outside office hours as required Create and deliver PR campaigns: With key focus on HRP’s busy events and public programme PR – producing and selling-in press materials (releases, factsheets, imagery etc.), working alongside colleagues in the Social Media Team to align messaging and maximise impact, strengthening relationships with local and regional media outlets Work alongside the Press Officers and Media & PR Manager on key projects: supporting work on larger campaigns, to include annual exhibitions and major on-site events, royal and stakeholder visits Supervise filming across the palaces: supporting team with the supervision of filming on site; to include large and small scale, and live broadcasts Support the team with media operations: managing journalist and influencer visits, organising press days and previews, creating comprehensive press packs for visiting media Share responsibility for Press Office admin, to include the management of media monitoring system and media contact database, uploading of press resources to HRP webpage and Digital Asset Management system, and media campaign evaluationTraining Outcome:
