Salary: £28,000 – £30,000 per annum


Are you passionate about building a rewarding commercial career in construction? Our client, a well-established construction and property services company, is seeking a motivated Trainee Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team.
You will be supporting experienced Quantity Surveyors in delivering cost-effective project outcomes for a range of building and refurbishment works, assisting with commercial administration and gaining practical experience in industry best practice.


Key Responsibilities

Assist the commercial team with cost control and forecastingSupport measurement, take-offs and preparation of bills of quantitiesHelp prepare valuations, applications and subcontract assessmentsContribute to procurement activities and subcontract tender evaluationAssist in reviewing contracts and commercial documentationSupport reporting and commercial records in line with company proceduresWork collaboratively with project managers, engineers and suppliers

About You

Educated to degree level (or working towards) in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related disciplineExcellent organisation, numeracy and communication skillsCommercially curious and eager to learn on-the-jobProficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly ExcelStrong attention to detail and ability to work in a team environment
